ALBANY, GA -- In the Facebook story of the day, you wanted to know how much rain we received in February and did it affect the drought. It's no surprise last month was a wet one. Officially at the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport, there was over 10 inches of rain but that total as much as 13 inches in some southwest Georgia counties, and you can bet all that rain helped our drought conditions. "This did put a little bit of a plus sign into our overall look as far as the drought goes, but there's still more to come, we still need some more rain fall just not as much as we got all at one time," said FOX 31's Meteorologist Chris Nisinger. Although the rain has stopped a few days ago, the Flint River is still on the rise in some areas, and was expected to crest at 22 feet today in Newton, Ga.
