Spring break is right around the corner and for students that won't be heading off on vacation, there is something fun and eco-friendly for them to be a part of.

For students, learning doesn't have to stop just because the classroom doors have closed.

Chehaw is hosting an eco-friendly spring break camp for students to get outdoors, have fun and get messy.

Jackie Entz, Education Coordinator at Chehaw, says that "this year we kinda learn about Spring and how in the spring time, Earth renews itself so we're going to be looking at plants, how they're growing. We're going to go out and look at mushrooms because mushrooms are pretty fun and they will have lots of composting activities that can be done."

Not only will campers take part in hands-on activities, they will also head into the zoo every day for daily animal encounters.

This camp is open to campers 5-12 years old. There are two dates camp will take place; March 25-29 and April 1-5.

For more information on how to become a camper or a junior zoo keeper, go to Chehaw's website.
