ALBANY, GA --
Toto, a three and a half year old Chihuahua with paralyzed hind legs, has called Albany Pet Partners home for nearly half his life. That changed last February when Ann Davis walked through the door.

"The minute I saw him, I just knew; he wasn't in his chair or anything, he was just sitting there, he was just so sweet," said Davis.

After a brief trial period, Davis decided to adopt Toto and she took him home to be introduced to her five other dogs.

Davis says "they just all fell in love with him and actually adore him; I mean, they play like he's a big dog, he plays like he's a black lab."

Toto isn't the only special needs dog that has called Albany Pet Partners home, Bubba, a one-year-old German Sheppard, currently lives there.

Bubba was surrendered to Albany Pet Partners after his leg got tangled in his tie out and his owner couldn't afford the amputation required to save him.

"We found a doctor that was willing to do the amputation at a fair price, so we paid for that," said Dr. Fred Freeland, President of Albany Pet Partners.

That's right, Albany Pet Partners a non-profit Veterinary clinic paid for his surgery with the fees they charge for basic services,

This type of generosity is common for the folks at Albany Pet Partners, as they also paid for Toto's wheelchair.

They say they do it to provide the animals with a chance at a normal life.

For information on adopting any of the animals at Albany Pet Partner visit there Facebook page or give them a call at (229)432-0717.
