ALBANY, GA -- Albany State University faculty and staff members are helping out a downtown restaurant with a cash mob Tuesday.
Albany State University College of Business Marketing Club and Enactus put together the plan to help create an economic stimulus downtown, specifically at Our Daily Bread.
"After learning of the number of restaurants that had closed in downtown Albany, we were inspired to do something to help at least one of the remaining restaurants. The members of the Marketing Club thought that a cash mob was a great way to help our stakeholders, and they are partnering with Enactus to make the event a success," said student group advisor and marketing professor Maurice Elliard.
Elliard expected at least 100 patrons to spend at least $10 each on a meal.
