ALBANY, GA --
The hospital board at Phoebe Putney held a meeting Wednesday afternoon to discuss results from surveying that took place in the hospital last week.

DNV Accreditation is a national accreditation program that surveys hospitals to make sure they are providing the upmost care with the best quality.

DNV spent a week with Phoebe, surveying patients, nurses, doctors, and inspecting every floor and room from top to bottom.

Jon Austin, the executive vice president of the Phoebe Putney Health System, said at the end of the week, DNV was giving the hospital very good reviews. Austin said the surveyors even went as far as going into rooms and talking to patients and their families. Austin said the hospital encourages this because the patients are really the ones that know best when it comes to the care and quality being provided.
