ALBANY, GA --
A man has been arrested by Albany police after a concerned citizen called 911 saw him trying to break into a business.

Albany police say that 26-year-old Damascus Greene was seen trying to break into rear wall of the Stop and Shop on Clark Avenue early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to the call and found Greene unsuccessful in his attempt to gain entry to the store. A foot chase ensued with Greene being apprehended shortly thereafter.

Greene has been charged with criminal intent to commit burglary in the 2nd degree, possession of tools during the commission of a crime, and loitering & prowling.
