One of the nation's largest retailers of used cars might be coming to Albany.

Carmax has confirmed the company's interest in the area and are making negotiations on a property in Dougherty County.

This could be a good thing economically for the county. A Carmax spokesperson, Michelle Ellwood, says it would create anywhere from 50 to 80 new jobs.

One local car dealership is weary. Manager of Hometown Auto Sales, Jason Ward, says he thinks some of the newer dealerships in town will definitely suffer from this.
