ALBANY, GA --
A few kids took advantage of Saturday's nice weather, and went out to Chehaw to enjoy the outdoors.

The third annual "Nature Round Up Day" featured camp fire cooking, arts and crafts, balloon animals, and even Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Today's event was design to show that children, no matter what their circumstance, can get out and enjoy nature.

"Special needs children, are very close to my heart, and I wanted parents to understand, and help communicate, that (disabled) children can enjoy the outdoors and get out and enjoy nature," said Amy Bacon the event organizer.

Bacon's 15-year-old son, Joshua, is the one who inspired her to start "Nature Round Up Day," Joshua is currently working to become and Eagle Scout.
