ALBANY, GA -- The Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany opened its gates to the public, Saturday morning for its first ever “Dirty Devil Dog Mud Run”.

The three mile run wasn’t a race, but more of a fun run designed to give participants a taste of a Marine Corps style course. Runners had to trek through a water filled canal, navigate agility tires and of course deal with plenty of mud.

“I'm a little worried, I'm a little worried, falling down in the mud, but it's going to be fun ether way,” said Coney Schuer from Albany, GA.

Over 500 runners turned out for today’s event. Organizers say they are already planning next years, which should be a little harder.
