ALBANY, GA --
In the Facebook story of the day you wanted to know if Police Officers receive any special exceptions to parking or traffic laws.

The police aren't above the law and must obey traffic rules, unless of course they are conducting official business.

Sometimes you may see a police car parked in front a store for no apparent reason, however that officer may be working.

"Officers also do part-time jobs, and a lot of those businesses are on private property, and because of the request by management those officers are able to park there to increase police presence," explains the APD's public information officer Phyllis Banks.

Officers may also be parked in unauthorized spots because they are responding to a call.
