ALBANY -- The Orionids meteor shower has been going on for quite a few days, and NASA experts say its peek will be Friday night through Saturday before sunrise.

In our Facebook Story of the Day, you wanted to know the best place to go to see it.

“I actually saw one last night in the middle of the city; it surprised me so much because you usually don't see them there. But the best place to some would be out in a field somewhere away from the city lights,” says Allison Young, Program Coordinator at Thronateeska.

Experts say the meteor shower is called “Orionids” because the meteors seem to be falling from the constellation “Orion.”
