DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA --
The Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit made a drug bust and found an 8-month-old baby in the home at the time.

"The baby was turned over to a grandparents, we were called and we came to the scene and DFACT was okay with that, they turned him over to a relative, the other child was in school at the time, we got another relative to pick that child up," said Major Bill Berry of the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit.

The search warrant was served to a home in the 600 block of Lucille Tuesday afternoon.

The estimated street value of the drugs was about $5700.

Officers say that 29-year-old Rodrecius Montrell James was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and ecstasy with intent to distribute.

James will also face reckless conduct charges because an 8-month-old baby was found in the home during the search. He could also possibly face gun charges pending the ongoing investigation in this case and in Randolph County.
