ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Panthers are certainly one win away from a second straight league championship- that is an undeniable fact. As for whom the Panthers will start at quarterback for the PIFL title game- there's a lot of confusion.

For the second week in a row, the Panthers are labeling their starting quarterback selection a game-time decision.

On Saturday, Panthers backup quarterback Darnell Kennedy played to near perfection on Saturday for a 60-36 win over Columbus. Panthers starter Cecil Lester was forced to sit out due to a sprained knee.

Lester led the team to the 2011 SIFL title and has been the Panthers starter for the last three seasons. Coach Lucious Davis admitted there’s no clear cut solution to his quarterback problem.

“It's a real tough decision, it's a horrible situation to be in. You don't want to hurt one guy by playing somebody else, but you want to do what's best for the team and right now...I don't know,” Coach Davis said.

Albany’s opponent for the PIFL Championship is still an unknown, but the game time has been set for 7:30 PM. It’ll either be Richmond or Louisiana coming to the Albany Civic Center on Saturday night. The two teams face off in the other semifinal in Richmond on Monday.
