ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Canadian musher Sebastian Schnuelle is the first to leave the Finger Lake checkpoint — 106 miles into the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.
He was followed Monday morning by three Alaskans — Paul Gebhardt, John Baker and Sven Haltmann.
On Sunday, 71 mushers left Willow for the 1,100-mile race to Nome.
