WIMBLEDON, England (AP) — Flu-like symptoms are spreading among Wimbledon staff, although organizers say no personnel has been diagnosed with swine flu.

Johnny Perkins, a spokesman for the All England Club, said Wednesday that 28 staffers have been asked to stay home because of flu symptoms — up from four on Monday.

He said there are about 6,000 staffers working at Wimbledon, meaning the number of cases was not abnormally high.

Perkins said he could not comment on a British media report that three doubles players had caught swine flu, saying illnesses or injuries are confidential between players and their medical staff.
