ALBANY, GA -- The Darton State softball team has found its next great hit from the pitching circle. Add freshman Savannah Carlisle to the assembly line of Cavalier arms success.

The Harris County product won her 11th game for Darton on Saturday as the Lady Cavaliers split with Tallahassee Community College 6-2, 2-7. Aside from Carlisle, the Darton State win wouldn’t have been possible without a fifth inning rally.

Tied at two the fifth, Kelsey Ogletree smashed a three-run homerun and Melissa Dearth followed with a solo shot for the game one victory.

Darton State finishes the weekend with two games at Tallahassee Community College Sunday. The Cavaliers pushed their season record to 22-7.
