ALBANY, GA -- The string of Darton State basketball domination continues. Avenging an early season loss, the Lady Cavaliers defeated Georgia Perimeter, 68-39.

It was the sophomore Cavaliers that kept Darton State’s region championship goal on pace Saturday at Cavalier Arena.

Michelle Mitchell led all players in scoring with 22 points. While Chan Fann added 16 points with her biggest contribution coming on defense. Fann held Perimeter’s leading scorer, Ronita Garrett to 13 points on 4-11 shooting.

With three home games remaining in the regular season, Darton State (23-3) has an abundance of opportunities to close out the region’s number one seed. The Lady Cavaliers have whittled their region magic number down to two.

This was the team's 14th win by at least 25 points in the 2012-13 season.
