ALBANY, GA -- If Thursday’s outcome means anything for the Albany State basketball team, the Golden Rams may be back in the SIAC race. A full and healthy roster is working wonders for ASU.

The Golden Rams used a barrage of three pointers in the first half for a 92-56 win over Clark Atlanta. The 36 point margin is Albany State’s largest win of the season as the team rolled to a third consecutive victory.

Albany State hit five straight three pointers in the first ten minutes of the game to open a 17-2 lead on the struggling Panthers.

The team hosts rival Fort Valley State Saturday at HPER Gym.

Second Half Run Dooms ASU Lady Rams

The Albany State women couldn’t close on an opportunity to gain a spot in the SIAC East Division standings.

The Lady Rams led Clark Atlanta 35-29 at the half before allowing the Lady Panthers back in the game. ASU was outscored 14-5 in the first five minutes of the second half leading to a 43-40 deficit.
