ALBANY, GA -- It won't be long before the PIFL’s Albany Panthers kick off the 2013 season- a little over two months away.

The two-time indoor football champions are still looking for help on their way to a three-peat. The Albany Panthers have announced the final open tryout of the year at the Albany Civic Center on Feb. 2.

The Panthers are looking for that diamond in the rough to compete on the 35-man training camp roster.

With a veteran core of players returning, it would appear the Albany roster is almost set, but Panthers General Manager Will Carter is out to dispel that rumor.

“We're trying to fill that camp roster and the best of the best will make the team. I don't want people to feel like we're not trying to look for talent and it's just a moneymaker for us,” Carter said. “We actually are looking for talent and we've shown that in the past…we have signed two guys that have been key contributors (at an open tryout).”

Registration costs $50 on the day of the tryout and $40 in advance.
