MACON, GA -- Back on track at the Music City Classic, the Albany State football team is singing a different tune. After a 1-3 start to the season, the Golden Rams have climbed back to .500 with a win Saturday in Macon.

Albany State scored a season-high in points for a 36-14 win over the Lane Dragons.

In the first half, running back Nathan Hoyte rushed for the first two ASU touchdowns, and quarterback David Kooi tossed a 13 yard touchdown to Cessel Taylor late in the second quarter. The defense snagged a safety with a little over a minute left in the first half for a 22-7 halftime lead.

Albany State’s first winning streak of the 2012 season moves the Golden Rams to 2-1 in the SIAC. ASU travels to Morehouse College next week.
