ALBANY, GA -- At the Dixie Youth State tournaments, Sunday was the first of several elimination days.

Four local teams headed to the survival stages including an Albany vs. Albany chopping block contest.

In the Majors Division, Albany American responds from three runs down to knock Albany Dixie out of the state tournament 10-7.

In the O-Zone Division, Baconton scored four in the first inning, five in the second, and three in the third inning off of Crawford County. The local team run ruled Crawford in four innings 13-3.

The O-Zone division of Albany Dixie put away Winder with ease. Albany puts the bats and the arm of John Osteen to good use winning in five innings 11-1. Osteen struck out the side to close the game in the top of the fifth.
