LAGRANGE, GA -- Tuesday’s extra-inning loss to West Georgia Tech must have motivated the Darton College baseball team.
Darton outscored West Georgia Tech 30-4 in the final three games of the series culminating in Sunday’s 19-1 beat down of the Golden Knights. The Cavs tallied seven runs in the fourth and four in the sixth to cruise to the victory.
Outfielder Kevin Manos stayed true to form as one of the top RBI men in the country. Manos finished the game 2-4 with an RBI and three runs. Russell Melton scored three runs for the Cavaliers and freshman pitcher Jordan Villhauer went four scoreless innings for the win.
Darton (24-8, 11-1) leads the GCAA by two games over Middle Georgia Tech. The Cavaliers are back in action Tuesday in Cuthbert against Andrew College.
