ALBANY, GA -- The GHSA AAA-Region 1 basketball tournament details have been released, and the Westover Patriots will have their time to shine.

Westover will host Thursday’s semifinal round and Friday’s final round games. The boys championship is set for 8:30 PM with the girls championship being played beforehand at 7 PM Friday.

The Monroe Tornadoes enter as the boy’s top seed with an 11-1 region record. While the once-beaten Westover Lady Patriots take top honors on the girl’s side of the bracket.

In the opening round game, Cairo hosts Worth County Monday at 5:30/ 7 PM. The following day Crisp County hosts second round games starting at 4 PM.
