ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Panthers are buying in to the notion- if it's not broke, don't fix it for the 2012 season.

The Panthers will begin play in the newly-created Professional Indoor Football League this season, but plan to return some key offensive pieces from their 2011 SIFL Championship team.

Panthers quarterback Cecil Lester confirmed on Monday he would be signing a contract to play for the upcoming Panthers team. While wide receivers John Harris, Antoine Savage and Antwontis Cutts are also expected to re-sign with the team. The team will announce these additions at a Tuesday news conference.

Lester threw for 2,626 yards and 64 touchdowns last year. The three returning receivers were the main weapons for Lester. The trio of Harris, Savage and Cutts led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns.

The Panthers open the season at home March 17 against the Richmond Raiders.
