Super Bowl MVP holds sixth annual Skills and Drills Camp

ALBANY, GA -- New England Patriot wide receiver Deion Branch held his sixth annual Skills and Drills Camp at Albany State on Saturday The 10-year NFL veteran and a group of local coaches hustled the 75 campers through position drills teaching football fundamentals throughout the morning.

The Super Bowl XXXIV MVP was pleased with the work done by all his pupils of the game, but has an important message for his students of the seventh annual Skills and Drills camp next year.

They all better bring cleats to the field.

The Monroe High School product said his goal was only to provide the groundwork for organized football, but maintained that work in school was the only way to football success.

“Make sure of what you’re supposed to do in the classroom. I mean, you can come out here and play football all day…this stuff is fun, but if you don’t straighten your work out- you’ll never get the opportunity having fun playing football,” Branch said.
