ALBANY, GA -- Darton College announced Monday golf coach Dale Dover is passing his coaching position along to Cavaliers assistant coach and former player Bill Jones III. The three-time NJCAA national coach of the year Dover will stay on the Darton staff as Director of Golf.

Dover is leaving behind quite the coaching legacy.

The Cavs coach won three Division Two National Championships and 10 straight NJCAA Region 17 titles during his tenure. In 2011, Dover led his squad to the Division one nationals finishing tied for fifth in the first year at that top NJCAA level.

The new head coach, Bill Jones III, was an assistant under Dover this season and was part of two DC championship squads as a player in 2006 and 2007.
