ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Panthers and Alabama Hammer are two football teams on the opposite ends of the Southern Indoor Football League spectrum. And on Saturday night, it stayed that way.

The Albany Panthers defeated the Alabama Hammers 47-26 on Saturday night at the Albany Civic Center.

No slow start to the first half, and no second half comeback needed.

Quarterback Cecil Lester connected with Antwontis Cutts for a score early in the first quarter, and the Panthers poured it on. The comeback cats were nowhere to be found as the Panthers never trailed.

Albany’s record is now 5-0. The Panthers play the Fayetteville Force next Saturday in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
