IRVING, Texas (AP) — An Irving leader wants to know more about city procedures related to the collapse of a Dallas Cowboys practice facility that left 12 people hurt.

Irving City Council member Beth Van Duyne on Monday called for an internal investigation of the city's planning and inspections processes. Van Duyne says she "has a lot of questions."

The NFL team's 80,000-square-foot facility, with a fabric covering, collapsed May 2 during stormy weather.

Mayor Herbert Gears said city staffers have been reviewing their processes since the accident.

The Dallas Morning News reported Tuesday that the Texas Board of Professional Engineers continues to review the accident.

Irving and state officials have disagreed over which building records should be kept on file for nonresidential construction.
