ALBANY, GA. --

For the second year in a row, the Albany Police Department pulled together the community for a feast.

APD held its annual Thanksgiving dinner at the Albany Civic Center today.

Last year more than 250 people were fed and officials estimate they fed twice as many people this year.

People from all walks of life turned out to a sit down dinner with APD.

One of the organizers says the event was all about bringing people together.

“One of the key things is to build stronger relationships. We appreciate what the people do for us in the community. We're not successful without them,” says Bryant Leverett, APD Investigator.

APD also thanks the other organizations who helped make the dinner a success.
