ALBANY, GA -- At 11-4, the Darton State Cavaliers are feeling good and feeling fresh early in the 2013 season. Part of that momentum can be credited to some recent impressive victories against Chipola College and nationally-ranked Gulf Coast College.

The Cavalier bats continued to stay hot and heavy on Friday against Lake Michigan. Darton State only needed seven innings to dispose of the visiting team 16-4.

The Cavaliers have won five straight games. While Friday marked the sixth game of 2013 the Cavaliers have scored at least 10 runs.

Kyle Conkle stayed consistent from the plate finishing 3-4 with four RBI’s and two runs scored. John Harmon pitched six innings striking out 11 for the victory.
