ALBANY, GA -- ***Darton State College Press Release***

The Darton State College Lady Cavaliers swept Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, 2-1 and then 11-0 in a softball doubleheader Thursday.

The first game was tied 1-1 going into the bottom of the 7th when freshman infielder Bree Wells slammed a solo homerun for the win.

Freshman right-hander Savannah Carlisle got the win.

Sophomores Jenny Willis and Kelsea Ogletree made it look easy in game two. Willis pitched six strikeouts and allowed only two hits in five innings to get the win. Ogletree hit a second-inning grand slam to pave the way for a shutout victory.

Darton travels to Dothan, Ala., next for the Dothan Tournament, Saturday and Sunday. After a stretch of road games they return to their home field for a doubleheader with East Georgia on Feb. 28.
