ALBANY, GA -- Darton State baseball capped off the first home stand of the season undefeated. The Cavaliers posted 13 runs in a Saturday blowout of Wallace-Dothan. On Sunday, timely hitting and masterful work from the pitching staff earned the Cavaliers a 4-3 win.

“I'm proud of our guys. We're 4-2 now...got a little momentum. They're starting to believe...the talent is there- starting to believe a little bit in their swings and their approaches...the pitching has just been phenomenal,” Coach Scot Hemmings said.

Kody Adams went 3-4 on the day scoring the game winning run in the seventh on a Southern Union balk. Ryan Good earned his second save of the season getting the final three outs in the ninth.

“Coach (Hemmings) always says "you get one run here, one run there and play defense...you win the ball game". We did that (Sunday)..we had timely hits, we scored runs when we needed to and we played great defense,” Adams said.
