ALBANY, GA -- Just another day at work for the Darton State College men's soccer team. Except, on Wednesday, the Cavaliers played with a new ranking in front of their name.

The NJCAA top-ranked Cavaliers played like the best team in the nation defeating Andrew College 5-0.

With already three goals this season, sophomore Jowayne Laidley netted two more Wednesday helping Darton mount a 4-0 lead after the first half. Freshman Alejandro Garcia pitched in with a goal, as well.

The Cavaliers moved to 6-0 for the 2012 season and face Thomas University (JV) next Tuesday.

Double-Digit win for Darton Women

The Darton State Women’s team could have used a mercy-rule in Wednesday’s win over Andrew.

The Cavaliers rolled 12-0 as Megan Thomas and Chihiro Hikita each scored a hat trick along with two assists.

Darton State hosts region rival Georgia Perimeter Friday.
