ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Panthers completed open tryouts on Saturday with some extra names added to the training camp roster.

With around 20 players at the tryout, Panthers head coach Lucious Davis found some potential talent for the two-time indoor football champions.

“Some of the players are ready to play, they just needed the opportunity. That's what we set out to do…give some guys that we felt deserved an opportunity,” Coach Davis said.

The Panthers are expecting to invite 32 players for training camp with the final roster pared down to 27. The Panthers season opens March 9 at the Louisiana Swashbucklers.
