ALBANY, GA --
56 riders hopped on bikes for a good cause at Tony's Gym on Thursday as part of the RIDEforHOPE campaign to fight against cancer.

The event was hosted by the Cancer Coalition of Southwest Georgia and invited Master Spinning Instructor Josh Taylor to lead the riders on an indoor cycling simulation of a fighter pilot's training.

Taylor says he coordinated the theme to be about fighting in honor of those fighting against cancer.

To ride, each participant was required to raise at least $100 with a goal of $10,000 for the entire class. Organizers say the class exceeded that goal and has already raised $11,116 before the event began.

All of that money will stay in Southwest Georgia going towards cancer education, screening and other services.
