Quick response by Albany Fire Department prevents further damage

ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Fire Department's quick response to a fire call on Lily Pond Road prevented a far from spreading beyond the garage.

Officials with the department say that officers got the call at 2:57 PM on Thursday and were on scene by 3:01 PM, just four minutes later.

Fire fighters were able to extinguish the blaze, keeping damage isolated to garage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
