LEESBURG, GA -- The Lee County High Wrestling team is once again on the footsteps of the GHSA State Meet. State sectionals begin Friday and it’s stocked with Trojans.

Only one weight class won't have a Lee County wrestler competing as 13 out of 14 Trojans qualified for the Friday’s meet held in Allatoona.

The Lee County team cruised to the AAAAA- Region 1 Duals championship again this season, but the game changes this weekend. For sectionals, it’s 32 wrestlers in each classification fighting for the state's top 16 spots.

“Just be ready for anything. The four (seed) that you're going to wrestle up there could be almost as good as you with a tough couple of guys in his region. You never know,” Alex Davis said

“Got to go out there and tell yourself, "I got to go all out. This could be it for me." Take every match as if it's your last one,” Devon Yelverton said.

Five Lee County wrestlers reached the state meet last year with three 2013 returners aiming at another run.
