TIFTON, GA --
Another day, another award for Tift County basketball player Brannen Greene.

Joining the likes of Dwight Howard and Chris Bosh, Greene has been named Georgia's Gatorade High School Boys Basketball Player of the Year. The shooting guard received the award for his excellence on the court, in the classroom and for demonstrating high character.

Greene already received the Naismith Mr. Georgia Basketball award earlier this year.

The soon-to-be Kansas Jayhawk led Tift County to the GHSA state quarterfinals averaging 27 points and nine rebounds.

With Thursday’s announcement, Greene is in the running for the National Gatorade Player of the Year.
