ALBANY, GA -- Fresh off an 85 point victory this weekend, the Darton State College basketball team turned their attention to somewhat stiffer competition on Wednesday.

Central Georgia Tech kept the game close reaching 28-27 late in the first half. Then, the Lady Cavaliers clamped down on defense.

Central Georgia Tech shot 8% from field goal range in the second half as Darton State extended its winning streak to six games with a 71-47 win.

With a 32-29 lead at halftime, Darton State held a Central Georgia to 18 total points in the final 20 minutes

Chan Fann and Michell Mitchell tied for the game-high with 19 points. Named all-region player of the week on Monday, Mitchell notched another double-double with 10 rebounds.

The Lady Cavaliers (9-1) won’t play again until next Wednesday hosting Americus’ South Georgia Tech Jets.
