ALBANY, GA -- Coming off a shutout win over Gordon College, Darton State Women's soccer returned to the field Saturday for non-region competition. Even though the match against Brevard College wouldn’t count in the region standings, it still had plenty of juice.

The Lady Cavaliers lost a heated game on and off the field to Brevard 1-0 last season. There weren’t the same fireworks between the two teams Saturday, but the final result was similar.

Darton State kept the action on the Brevard side of the field for most of the second half, but couldn’t connect on offense losing 2-0.

The Lady Cavaliers record falls to 3-4 and hosts Middle Georgia Thursday on the pitch.
