MOULTRIE, GA -- Heading north for the Corky Kell Classic, the Colquitt County Packers return to the Georgia Dome.

“Number one, it is a privilege to be in it...obviously it's a mystique place. It's held a lot of big ball games...but most importantly it's held the high school state championship in the state of Georgia,” Coach Rush Propst said.

That's where the Packers expect to be at the end of 2012- right back at the home of all those championship games.

“You start the year, you finish the year (there). It can't be a better scenario for us for the next two years,” Propst said.

Though, the Packers haven't found recent success in the Dome losing their last five appearances.

Saturday's game against North Gwinnett is just one hurdle on a loaded schedule. Three straight seasons with at least a semifinal appearance leaves the Packers determined for more and thinking about what might have been.

“We could easily be sitting here talking about back to back state championship teams. It's just, we've just got to learn to finish the deal, but right now we got to take first things, first,” Coach Propst said.

First things first, Colquitt County kicks off against North Gwinnett at 2:30 PM Saturday.
