DAWSON, GA -- In the GISA, Terrell Academy jumps to AA with a core of experience keeping the Eagles afloat.

Terrell Academy's previous season ended in the GISA-A State semifinals, and that core may give the Eagles just enough to soar higher.

With experience on offense, Coach Bill Murdock has loaded the playbook with multiple offensive sets including the option, I-formation and Wing-T.

Running back Josh Wardrip and quarterback Josh Brunswick are expected to excel along with senior Blake Grimsley, who gained a coach’s vote of confidence from a strong summer.

However, the GISA’s AA Class will be challenging for the Eagles.

“The GISA offices made AA the SEC of our league. In AAA, there's only 12 or 13 schools, A there's only 11 schools and there's 30 something in our league. If you're going to win a state championship, you're going to have a real good year,” Coach Murdock said.

The Eagles return eight starters on defense and six on offense. Its trek through the 2012 season opens at home Friday against Tiftarea.
