ALBANY, GA --
Albany State University has received the SIAC Commissioner’s Women’s All-Sports Award for the 2011-2012 sports season, winning the award for the eighth time in the last nine years according to a press release issued by the SIAC.

The Lady Rams, who finished in second place last year after winning the award for seven consecutive years, earned a total of 24 points, winning a conference title in track & field while finishing second in both volleyball and cross country.

The SIAC says that the Commissioner’s All-Sports Trophy is presented to the athletic department within the conference that has excelled in both men’s and women’s sports.
