Post 182 Wins First Tournament of Season

ALBANY, GA -- Memorial Day Weekend meant American Legion baseball for Leesburg’s Post 182 and Albany’s Post 30.

On Saturday, Post 182 opened with a perfect 2-0 record. The Leesburg squad made it a perfect Sunday winning its first tournament of the season. Post 182 defeated Dothan, Alabama’s Wiregrass 9-8 to clinch first place.

Leesburg finished the tournament with a 3-1 record losing its final game 7-4 to Albany’s Post 30 Juniors.

Albany’s Post 30 rebounded from an 0-2 start on Saturday defeating Vero Beach 10-7 and the Post 30 Juniors 11-6.
