CAMILLA, GA -- A return trip to the state finals for the Westwood Wildcats has been booked.

The Wildcats take care of David Emanuel Academy 5-1 on Saturday behind Wildcat Caleb Morrell. The Westwood starting pitcher threw all seven innings striking out 10 batters, and hitting a two-run homer in a four-run Wildcat first inning.

With the win, the GISA-A Baseball State Championship game is set and it's a rematch.

Crisp Academy swept Bethlehem Christian on Friday. The Crisp Academy Wildcats will travel to Camilla next Friday for game one of the state finals starting at 1 PM.

Due to Westwood’s graduation, game two and the “if necessary” game three are pushed to Saturday action picking up at 1 PM.

Crisp Academy defeated Westwood last year for the state title. This season, the Region 3 foes split their two games. Crisp Academy is making it’s third straight appearance in the GISA-A Championship series.
