ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Panthers are in need of a new kicker, and it's not due to poor performance by Geoff Boyer.

Boyer is moving on to a better opportunity as the two-year Panther has signed with the AFL’s Pittsburgh Power.

Boyer led the team in scoring for 2012 hitting 19-24 field goals and 12 uno's. Entering in middle of the 2011 season, the former Panther nailed down 4-5 FG’s en route to the SIFL Championship.

No replacement has been named for Saturday's road game against Alabama. Panthers Head Coach Lucious Davis said the team was trying out two candidates to fill Boyer's vacant spot.
