ALBANY, GA -- On Twitter, some Darton College baseball players have referred to their early season success as “Cav swag”. On Friday night against South Georgia College, the Cavaliers had plenty of swag once again.

Darton (13-7, 2-0) defeated South Georgia 10-6 at Cavalier Field behind the arm of Andrew Crumbley and the bats of sophomores Kevin Manos and Bryant Alonso.

Crumbley earned the win in relief of starting pitcher Tyler Oglesby. Manos and Alonso combined to go 6-7 with three RBI’s.

The momentum for the Darton College baseball team continues to grow. The Cavalier players have been feeling it for quite some time. Now, it may be time for the rest of Georgia to take notice.

The Cavaliers led 7-2 in the eighth inning before South Georgia cut the lead to one- that was as close as the Tigers would get. Darton added three more in the bottom half of the inning to put the game out of reach.

Darton completes their week with two more against South Georgia. The doubleheader begins at Cavalier Field Saturday at 2 PM.
