LEESBURG, GA -- The baseball season opener for Lee County is always a cause for celebration. But the beginnings of 2012 meant even more to Trojan Head Coach Rob Williams.

Coach Williams celebrated his 500th career victory Friday as his Trojans rolled over Westover 15-0. Lee County’s first game at “The Greatest Show on Dirt” Invitational lasted three innings.

Andrew Stroud led the Trojans with 5 RBI’s including a three-run homerun in the bottom of the second. While pitcher Jess Posey faced nine batters in two innings striking out six.

The Trojans close out their invitational with two games Saturday. Lee County faces Centennial at 3 PM, and Schley County at 6 PM.
