ALBANY, GA -- Saturday night, a coin flip gave the Darton College basketball team the number two seed in the upcoming Region 17 Tournament. Sunday night, a game between Central Georgia Tech and Chattahoochee Tech gave them a first round opponent.

DC will host Central Georgia Tech Tuesday at Cavalier Arena Tuesday at 6 PM. The team will be hoping to continue their strong push from the final three weeks of the season.

Looking past three weeks, the Cavs are 12-2 since the start of the New Year, but round one of the tournament starts a new season.

“Over the past few weeks, we've really found it. The main thing is that our team understands what they're trying to do on the floor. Everybody's focused, everybody's confident, everybody understands their roles and everybody's accepted their roles…it's a lot of positive energy right now," Darton Head Coach Lea Henry said.

Coach Henry and the Cavaliers hope to keep the positive energy flowing against Central Georgia Tech. Darton earns its 20th win of the season with a Tuesday night victory.
