ALBANY, GA -- The Darton College softball team has picked up right where it left off in 2011. After an appearance at the NJCAA Softball World Series, the Cavaliers are already playing at a top level in 2012.
And returning pitcher Katy Jordan hasn’t missed a beat. The Cavaliers pitched had quite the homecoming in Darton’s first home series of the season pitching a perfect game in an 8-0 over Middle Georgia.
Cavalier Chelsea Showers comes through in the clutch with a two-out single scoring the first two runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Pitching ruled again in game two. Jenny Willis held Middle Georgia scoreless for the 1-0 victory.
Darton dropped out of its upcoming tournament in Hanceville, Alabama. The Cavaliers face ABAC in Tifton next Tuesday.
